October 11, 2024: Festival Friday: Student Film Showcase

The fourth day of the festival will be dedicated to young creators and film editing enthusiasts. At 10:00 AM, the House of Cinema in Gorizia will present a selection of short films made by high school students from Nova Gorica, Gorizia, and Villach, offering insights into the perspectives of young filmmakers.

At 1:00 PM, Jelena Maksimović will host a masterclass titled Editing in the Post-Yugoslav Context, reflecting on the creative process of editing as a means of searching for personal identity.

The afternoon program at 4:00 PM will be devoted to student short films, providing another opportunity to showcase new talent in the film industry.

At 7:00 PM, a screening of Boris Palčič's documentary ET(h)NOS will mark the 25th anniversary of the Darko Bratina Award. The evening will conclude with a screening of Nicolas Philibert’s Nénette at 8:00 PM, offering a glimpse into his unique film aesthetic.
