Cycle of Slovenian Film Visits San Pietro al Natisone

The Cycle of Slovenian Film in Italy will make its mark in San Pietro al Natisone, where it is organized by Kinoatelje in collaboration with the Institute for Slovenian Culture. Beyond Gorizia, Slovenian films will come to life with the help of Italian subtitles, making them accessible to Italian audiences as well. This rich program, focused on contemporary and restored Slovenian film productions, will occasionally host filmmakers and crews who contributed to the selected works. As part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025, the cycle strengthens the tradition of profound cultural cooperation in the cross-border region.

The first film evening of this season in San Pietro al Natisone will take place on 30 January at 8:00 PM at the Landscape and Narrative Museum SMO, opening with the comedy This is a Robbery! featuring Italian subtitles.

Other film screenings in San Pietro al Natisone are scheduled for 20 February, 20 March, and 17 April.

Rajko, a professional magician, suffers an unfortunate arm injury during a performance. But his troubles don’t end there—due to a bureaucratic error, his insurance claim is denied by Tangenta Insurance. Outraged by the injustice, Rajko gains the support of Marcel, an insurance agent, who arranges a meeting with the company’s director. The situation escalates when Marcel, in a moment of desperation, kidnaps the director, triggering a series of chaotic and comical events on their shared journey of escape.
