On the Adamant (Sur l'Adamant)

In a highly competitive world, where thinking often means labelling and where vulnerabilities are marginalized, there are places that strive to keep the poetic function of humanity alive. The Adamant is one of these places: located on the waters of the Seine, in the heart of Paris, this floating structure welcomes adults suffering from mental disorders and cares for them through art, music, drawing... A therapy for the heart, rather than just the mind.

The master of documentary filmmaking, Nicolas Philibert, invites us aboard this unique day centre, to meet the team of specialists who run it and the patients who live there, in a delicate and moving film that was awarded the Golden Bear in Berlin.
