Vreau să sparg sera / I Want to Shatter the Greenhouse

Synopsis

Sara is confronted by the first signs of a disease she inherited from her father, which, in its final stage, will turn their bodies into plants. Sara needs a major change. But before that, she has to try to get rid of the violent memories from her childhood, so she visits her bedridden father and tells him everything she couldn’t tell him until now.

Author's bio

Teona Galgoțiu studied and graduated at the UNATC (National film and theatre university “I. L. Caragiale” – Bucharest), she has directed several short films and in 2023 she won the Gopo award for her master’s graduation movie Vreau să sparg sera (I Want to shatter the Greenhouse). She is co-founder of Super, the teenage art festival. Beyond cinema, she is pursuing her passion for poetry. In 2019, she co-founded Gura Mare (Out loud), an online platform which explores poetry through interdisciplinary projects. Later, in 2020, she published a volume of poetry titled Mă uit înapoi şi dispare (I Look Back and It’s Gone) for OMG publishing.
